CPC Issues Recommended Guidelines for the Return to Play

The Cincinnati Pickleball Club issued the following recommended guidelines for the return to play in the COVID-19 era. Please join us in encouraging your fellow players to follow them. Send us an email at cincinnatipickleball@gmail.com with any questions.

1) Bring your own lawn chair or stadium cushion to any court location. Chairs should be positioned at least six feet apart, outside of fenced-in courts, unless you are sitting with a spouse or family member. Do not congregate on benches within court facilities.

2) Hang and/or store your gear outside the fence at any court facility. Lock all valuables in your car.

3) As soon as games are over, assuming players are waiting for your court, exit the court through the nearest gate.

4) Do not switch ends of the court during play.

5) Bring your own hand sanitizer to every session. Wash your hands before leaving for play, then sanitize your hands before and after every game.

6) Do not share paddles, water bottles, or any other personal equipment.

7) Avoid contact with others, such as hand shaking, high fives, or post-game paddle bumps.

Do not play if you:

  • Are exhibiting any symptoms of the coronavirus: mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, coughing, difficulty breathing, or other symptoms identified by the CDC.

  • Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

  • Are a vulnerable individual with serious underlying health conditions, including high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, asthma, or whose immune system is compromised such as by chemotherapy for cancer and other conditions requiring such therapy.
